The Buurtzorg model of nursing care in the Netherlands is based on the key principles of self-management and functioning and is an example of a “teal” organisation. This model is viewed as a benchmark for care in a community setting, providing holistic care to the individual and “good work” to those working in the organisation.
In this free seminar Ruth Hannan, Transform Programme Manager, The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, will explore what the UK’s health and social care system could learn from this model, what challenges it faces and what we need to consider to ensure our health and social care services meet the needs of its 21st century population.
