Briefing: GM Disabled People's Panel Covid-19 Survey Results

Tue, 30 Jun 2020

17:00 - 17:45

In April and May 2020 the GM Disabled People's Panel undertook a survey to find out what issues disabled people in Greater Manchester have been facing during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The aim of the survey was to gather lived experience to inform GM and locality services and to provide a platform for discussion so we can all work together to improve the response to and recovery from the pandemic.

With the support of our partners, and particularly the GMCA, we achieved nearly 1,000 survey returns. The survey is in an online format and we have supported people who may be digitally excluded to complete the survey. We have collected data about all equality characteristics and across all 10 boroughs to provide a detailed picture of how disabled people in Greater Manchester are affected by the virus and whether their needs are being met.

The Panel would like to invite you to a briefing event to hear about and discuss the headline findings of the survey.

The full report will be circulated after the briefing event to all invitees. Each of the ten boroughs will also receive a tailored locality breakdown of any key local issues in their locality and any specific locality recommendations, beyond our general recommendations.
