Exploring Your Political Pathway - Manchester

Have you always wanted to get involved in politics, but don't know where to start?

This workshop will enable you to learn more about exploring your political pathway and how to kick-start your political career. You don't need political experience, a party, or an in-depth knowledge of the political system - all you need is the passion to make a difference and the curiosity to find out more.

Attendees will discuss everything from the process of standing to surmounting barriers that might be in your way. Delegates will be joined by:

  • Amna Abdullatif, recently-elected Labour Councillor for Ardwick and the national lead on children and young people for Women's Aid
  • Katherine Fletcher, Conservative Councillor for Knutsford Town Council
  • Sam Johnson, WEP candidate for Deangate in May 2019 and leader of the recent Disability and Democracy project working with disabled women in Greater Manchester

The workshop will be faciliated by Eve Holt, change agent, coach, and Labour Councillor on Manchester City Council.

This event is open to all women, cis and trans from across the political spectrum and from all backgrounds.
