GM VCSE sector Exhibitor opportunities available at Greater Manchester Teaching Care Home Programme Launch

The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership are looking to engage with the voluntary sector/third sector to help reduce social isolation and loneliness and greatly improve social and community inclusion within the care home sector - to enable the residents to have a voice, to retain the sense of one’s own value and worth as a person, retain their identity and dignity and feel part of the care home and local community.

This will form a part of the Greater Manchester Teaching Care Home Programme, which will be co-designed and tested in 2019 with a selected number of care homes across Greater Manchester. This will be the start of an exciting programme which will help to create and shape the Greater Manchester Teaching Care Home Model in partnership with care settings, workforce development/education, CQC, Skills for Care, commissioners and research and innovation with universities, to enable delivery of the highest quality care.

The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership are holding the Greater Manchester Teaching Care Home Programme Launch Event on the 8 February 2019 at Manchester Metropolitan University, Brooks Building, Birley Campus, 53 Bonsall Street, Manchester, M15 6GX.

As part of this event, they have made available a limited number of exhibition stalls to GM VCSE organisations who work closely with care homes at a locality level to allow them to showcase to the care home providers present what services are available to them through the GM VCSE sector, during the lunchtime session(13:00-14:00). Please note, due to limited space, they are unable to offer exhibitors a place at the event but lunch will be provided available from 12:30.

If you would like to book a stall please email Isabella Woodcock at isabella.woodcock@nhs.net as soon as possible as these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
