Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation

Greater Manchester Teaching Care Homes

This will be an event that showcases innovative best practice currently being delivered within care homes, which will include work care homes are undertaking with voluntary and community service.

The event will also include two rounds of "speed dating" between the voluntary and community services and the care homes in the Teaching Care Home network. Whether you currently work within care homes or are considering doing so, this will be an opportunity for you to connect with the care homes to discuss the opportunities and benefits of working together to enhance the lived experience of the individuals that reside with them to help reduce social isolation, loneliness and greatly improve social and community inclusion within the care home sector. Also to enable the residents to have a voice, to retain the sense of one’s own value and worth as a person, retain their identity and dignity and feel part of the care home and local community.

If you are interested in attending and taking part in the “speed dating” and/or having a stall to show case best practice, please can you contact Isabella Woodcock.
