Do you know someone who travels on Metrolink or by rail using a pension-age concessionary travel pass from Transport for Greater Manchester?
There is an important change coming from 1st February 2020. Bus travel will still be free off-peak, but to continue using rail and Metrolink, customers will need to add tram and train to their pass for an annual charge of £10. This will give them access to unlimited off-peak travel in Greater Manchester. Disabled concessionary passes are not affected.
From 5th January, people can add tram and train at any Travelshop or online at getmethere.com – once added and validated, their pass will be valid for travel and ready to use from 1st February.
