Do you offer a service for people with dementia in Greater Manchester?

Greater Moments has been in development by Social Sense for Dementia United in Greater Manchester for over a year.

Due to the current pandemic of COVID-19, a large section of society, which is particularly weighted toward the audience using Greater Moments, are being told to self-isolate. With this in mind, Greater Moments would appreciate any local services who are able to provide additional support to those in isolation during this period to register as a service, to help to amplify the existence of this service. This may be telephone support, dog-walking, or grocery and pharmacy collections. If your organisation offers one of these services, or know anyone else who does, please register today.

A key feature of Greater Moments will be the signposting of suitable local activities for people living with dementia.

By registering your service, Greater Moments users (people living with dementia, including their family, friends, and carers) will be able to see your service in their personalised feed. As well as this, they will be able to check-in and leave feedback relating to your service, and how it has impacted their day.

These interactions will allow Social Sense for Dementia United to build up a picture of the services across Greater Manchester than are bringing the most value to people living with dementia’s lives, as well as providing any guidance to those who may show room for improvement. By getting involved, you can help us make Greater Manchester the best place to live with dementia.
