Engagement Opportunity: Eat Well MCR

Eat Well MCR was set up in response to the initial and urgent food crisis at the start of the COVID Lock Down in March 2020 and has since provided over 21,000 meals to those needing a helping hand. They provide produce and coordinate restaurants to cook delicious meals which we then distribute to those who might need that little bit extra. Their meals are ‘not just calories’, they are nutritious, delicious, made from quality ingredients, and prepared with care by chefs.

Eat Well MCR wants to develop relationships and work existing organisations supporting those struggling with food inequality - to supplement, not replicate, their work.  We are currently working with Shared Health, and The Bread and Butter Thing and are getting regular meals out to people struggling with homelessness. They are currently working to deliver chilled meals ready for reheating and aim to provide an element of choice and to ensure all diets are catered for – be it cultural, religious or simply taste.

They are looking for more organisations / groups who might benefit from a delivery of regular chilled meals such as youth clubs / community groups / supported housing or accommodation for families.

The delivery recipient ideally needs a fridge BUT Eat Well MCR can help with this, they would like to deliver in batches to organisations / community groups - not individual deliveries to homes , ideally batches of 20+ - but they are flexible!
