The Oglesby Charitable Trust is launching a new £275,000 fund focused on supporting people who are refugees or seeking asylum in the North West of England, The Spotlight Fund.
The Trust have spoken to people within the refugee and asylum seeker communities and have concluded that there is an abundance of passion, expertise and experience, but the issues being dealt with are extremely complex. They have therefore chosen to create an opportunity for the learning, ideas and contributions of those working at the grass roots to be heard – enabling even the smallest organisations to say where support would be most effective.
Applications can be for multi-year or one-off projects, up to a maximum yearly value of £20,000. Funding can be for all or part of a project (where the project currently has a shortfall) – though all projects should be ready to start by April/May 2019.
More information can be found at www.thespotlightfund.org.uk
Deadline for applications is 5pm on the 4th February.
