A new returner toolkit has been published by the Government Equalities Office, who fund Caring, Working, Living, written by Women Returners and Timewise. Toolkit for Returners: helping you back to work aims to support people who have taken a career break for over a year due to caring responsibilities to return to work.
Toolkit for returners provides information, ideas and actions for every stage of returning to work from thinking about it, to preparing, to returning to work. It has information, ideas and actions for confidence building; updating your skills and knowledge; finding job opportunities; exploring flexible options; writing a CV and cover letter; preparing for interviews; and getting ready to return to work. It also contains useful resources for returners such as flexible working job boards, free digital learning sites and sites that provide employment support.
