We are interested in hearing about your experiences of working with the public sector in regard to the commissioning of activities and services. We would like to know where it has gone well, where it hasn’t gone well, as well as what are the challenges and constraints you experience in being involved.
For many voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations their main experience of commissioning will be in applying for grants to deliver activities or services or applying to deliver tenders or contracts. We are interested in those experiences, but also your experiences of involvement in the full commissioning cycle which includes; assessment of needs, deciding priorities, design of services, market development, choosing providers, delivery as well as monitoring and evaluation.
Why do we want this information?
The GM VCSE Devolution Reference Group and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership have commissioned a partnership of Bolton CVS, Mind in Greater Manchester, GMCVO and VSNW to ensure that the VCSE sector plays a comprehensive role in commissioning both at a local and Greater Manchester level. As part of this work we are conducting a listening exercise with the VCSE sector about your experiences.
How can you help
In the first instance please could tell us your experiences through this link.
