Stakeholder Session (Evaluation) GM Cancer Screening & Engagement Programme

Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership have commissioned a 3-year Greater Manchester Cancer Screening and Engagement Programme. The aim of this new Programme is to develop a Voluntary and Community Sector-led approach to reduce the incidence of cancers. The Programme will find innovative ways to engage, mobilise and work with people across Greater Manchester to raise awareness about cancer and increase participation in screening programmes. In particular, it will target communities with low screening uptake.

This half-day session is for people with experience or interest in research and evaluation of cancer screening, or social movements or community-led approaches. We're interested in collectively developing knowledge around 'what works', and will be working with you to inform our own plans and priorities, including sharing best practice. The session will comprise a mixture of showcase presentations, networking and round-table discussions.

By the end of the session, you will have:

  • Learned up to date information about the progress and priorities of the GM Cancer Screening and Engagement Programme.
  • An understanding and ownership of the Research and Evaluation work of the Programme.
  • An opportunity to networked with other key stakeholders.
  • Identified, mapped and shared best practice in Research and Evaluation.
  • Discussed and contributed to the delivery plans of the new GM Screening and Engagement Programme.
