Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation

Workshop to shape support for vulnerable and marginalised women across Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester is developing its first Health and Justice strategy, which will focus on improving health and care provision and outcomes for some of our most excluded and often vulnerable adults, young people and families. One of the priority groups that has emerged is vulnerable and marginalised women, including women who may have had contact with the justice system, be at risk of or have experienced sexual or domestic violence or abuse.

To inform and help co-design the ambitions in the strategy, GMHSCP are hosting several workshops to discuss the issues facing particular groups. They hope you will take this opportunity to share your views and experiences around women and girls, but also come along and learn more about provision across Greater Manchester, from expert speakers and each other, and help to stimulate a conversation about how we could collectively work differently.

If you are a service provider, GMHSCP would also like to ask you to consider inviting one of your service users and supporting them to attend, so that they can benefit from hearing first-hand perspectives and lived experiences at the workshop – they acknowledge this may not always be possible or appropriate.
