MASH research into women and sex work in GM

Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH) have commissioned a team of independent researchers to undertake a project focusing on 'Women and Sex Work in Greater Manchester – prevalence, inter-sectional needs and gaps in service provision' (defining women as anyone who identifies as a woman).

If you work with women who are/may be sex working, MASH are hoping you will be able to help inform this research project by answering a few questions about your organisation (a snapshot of the work you undertake and how you help and support women accessing your service who may be sex working Greater Manchester). If you commission services, it would be really helpful if you could share your insights.

Please also share the link with any contacts you have with services/commissioners who may be supporting women sex working in GM.

Would you also be able to help MASH engage with women and promote the research to them?

As part of the research MASH are also aiming to engage with women who are / may be sex working in GM and would welcome your help and support in promoting the research (via social media, website and key workers).  There will be a short, simple questionnaire that can be completed by women via paper or online link.  More information to follow.

The final report will be shared later in the year once all the research has been conducted.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact Annie Emery (annie@mash.org.uk) or Bee Evans (bee@mash.org.uk) or the research team at either Kerryswain7@hotmail.com or Julie.wrigley@outlook.com
